Please Note:
This is a non-partisan election. Conversations and questions are as well. Our focus is on getting to know the candidates, why they are running, and goals for the city if elected. This is a rare opportunity for the community to come together in bi-partisanship to improve The City of New Port Richey, which ultimately improves our whole county. Downtown New Port Richey is one of the largest concentrations of small businesses in Pasco, and when they win, we ALL WIN!

The Pasco County School Board is discussing changes to the Student Code of Conduct that would remove the clear Student Peaceful Assembly guidance.
The district says it will be “covered in procedures,” but that means moving it into an internal administrative document that students do not see. Only staff do.
Why we are showing up:
When student rights are removed from the Student Code of Conduct, it becomes easier to discourage peaceful expression through confusion and fear.
We are showing up to keep students' rights visible, clear, and public because civic literacy means students should be able to read the rules and understand their rights.
Want to speak? You can!
This item will be listed on the agenda, and anyone who wants to speak on this issue may do so.
Just fill out a pink card ( name and agenda item 4.1) when you enter the meeting. You will be called to speak and given 3 minutes.
The more speakers, the better. But your presence alone makes a statement!
The first item on the agenda is:
"Community Civic Engagement Recognition Tonight, we recognize the importance of civics education, with Brian Corley, Pasco County Supervisor of Elections, and Mike Fasano, Pasco County Tax Collector, championing civic engagement in our schools."
Yes, we see the irony too.
More details will be added as they become available.
